I really enjoyed my 72km/h T50-2. I used to run with someone who contacted companies, and we played games like 8 T-50s 4 Grilles, finishing in 12 seconds over some nights. I sometimes miss the pubs more than the companies. Taking a firm stance on "let them come to us" felt amazing. Tfw you mess up your own thread.
I wouldn't suggest that, it seems you need to label things with more precision. Being team-oriented doesn't reduce the required skill level. Also, "skill" is quite vague here. You're pointing out that the combat feels less engaging compared to other shooters, or perhaps the kill mechanics don't feel as satisfying. Maybe highlighting that the game lacks dynamic action would be clearer. -edit- It looks like you had to be quite strategic to excel in Quake and CS, as both games demand a lot of thoughtful play. Overwatsh tends to be more lenient with certain classes and aiming techniques.
Occasionally I long for the old WOT era, though it's not always there. The days when light tanks were everywhere and powerful machines were common are truly gone. Now you only encounter them occasionally in a golden game, which is rare. I miss the excitement of driving around in my VK at tier 5 when those tanks were formidable, even if they were a bit slow and big. Back then, taking out enemies felt more rewarding because you had to be cautious against being hit by an agile opponent. You weren't focusing too much on the topic, but I really enjoy discussing World of Tanks just as much as Overwatch. Overall, it's about the fact that things don't always go as planned in games.
WoT is currently pretty much the same. It's mostly focused on organized play, and while I enjoyed Armored Warfare, it didn't gain much traction. Finding games outside of Friday nights is becoming tougher.
It's decent, honestly—I don't know how long it's been since you played, so I'll just look at pre-patch 9.0 versus post-patch 9.0 (the PS patch 9.0 came out back in 2014). The game has evolved a lot with new physics, graphics, and audio being added since patch 9.0. Arty is much less helpful now; they used to be reliable but now depend heavily on random number generation, which limits their precision. Light tanks are tougher to manage with the updated physics, but they can now drift and perform handbrake maneuvers better. Also, non-premium TDs no longer get the camo bonus. That's pretty much everything I remember about WOT so far.
WOT is somewhat disorganized now, making it trickier to manage my clan. It seems less active in the latest clan wars and skrmish formats, so I’m not sure they’re that popular.
Sure, I just wanted to make it clear that the issue I had with Overwatch wasn't about its skill level compared to other FPS games or its requirement of different abilities. It was more about the combat feeling less engaging, especially in a 1v4 scenario where one player could win in traditional FPS but not in Overwatch.
Is the IS-3 still worth considering as a Tier 8 Tank option? If yes, you might want to give it another shot.
