Did you resolve the problem? If not, I’m very close to your exact configuration. In the bios settings, there’s a CPU setting for turbo boost mode. Turning it off should help. It worked for me. I’ll reach out to Intel to check if they can assist, as I’m past the one-year warranty.
I returned the CPU, GPU, and motherboard. During the wait, I purchased an MSI MPG Z790 Carbon DDR5, 32GB DDR5 TeamGroup 6400, along with a Hynix M-die (though I’m not sure about that, but it’s ideal for overclocking, similar to how the Samsung B-die works for DDR4), and a 12700K. I didn’t enable turbo boost mode, tried XMP as well as the default settings, and even swapped the RAM with my son’s. The problem persisted.
I had a significant disagreement with Intel about warranty matters, but it was still under warranty—nothing wrong there. It was just their third-party company acting very carelessly. I recently received a 14900K at the end of last week, along with the motherboard from MSI (which I gave to my son, together with the 12700K), and the RTX 4090 Suprim from MSI (which had a faulty flash. I resolved it by flashing a new ROM). I haven’t encountered any issues with that error, but I’m facing overheating and thermal throttling with the 14900K.
My son’s system, which uses his 360 AIO cooler, handled my 14900K better than my custom loop with a 360 x 25mm and 280 x 30mm rad. I ordered another CPU block that should arrive by Wednesday. At least there are no error messages yet.
