Hey there, I installed Windows 11 on my new laptop and encountered some odd behavior. I have two drives, but I’m not sure how to set the default one (D). It looks like only a small half-gigabyte is there, and I’m not sure if everything inside is necessary. I’m wondering if I should just delete it from Disk Management. Here’s what Disk Management shows:
I accidentally reinstalled Windows several times because I forgot to adjust the boot order at first, thinking it didn’t work. It seems unrelated to this issue.
Looks to be an old EFI partition. You can just remove the drive letter and it'll disappear. Merging everything back into C would mean rewriting the entire drive so probably better to either reinstall or just leave as is and forget these 5igh GB.
Did you remove every current partition before starting the fresh installation?
Merging could potentially damage your windows depending on the circumstances.
