Hey there, I installed Windows 11 on my new laptop and encountered an odd situation. I have two drives, but I’m not sure how to set up drive D—it’s only about half a gigabyte. I’m also unsure if the contents are important, so I’m wondering whether to move them from Disk Management or not. Additionally, I accidentally reinstalled Windows several times because I forgot to adjust the boot order at first, and I don’t think that’s connected to the issue.

A half-gigabyte partition might be an old boot sector or forgotten storage area.

Did you mean to ask about the size of storage back then?

Try to access your EFI partition. Stay away from anything inside it—any interaction might ruin your Windows setup. Follow these steps: Launch Command Prompt with admin privileges. Execute "diskpart". After that, perform the following commands: list vol <Locate the volume that is your D drive and enter its number, which is <number>; select vol <number> remove letter=D This should eliminate the D drive from appearing in File Explorer.

I’d need to check if the system supports creating a D disk again, since hiding it might prevent future installations. It’s best to confirm before proceeding.

It will eliminate that partition only, concealing it. It won't stop you from using D later. Imagine it this way: drive letters act like sticky notes for drive partitions. You can rearrange them whenever you wish. What you're doing is removing the D note from this partition and keeping it aside for future use.

It's unclear why I can't reach the mounted EFI partition. The EFI bootlogo tool HackBGRT only worked via MSPaint.
