Begin with the old CPU on the board and reset the CMOS. Update the BIOS to version 4801 or newer to accommodate the new processor. Once the upgrade is complete, the previous CPU might stop working. Remember, clearing the CMOS is the initial action for a CPU replacement.

No output appears even after reinstalling the old CPU. I’ll double-check by clearing the CMOS—should I remove the battery or find another way to do it on my board?

Taking the battery out when the power source is off should resolve the issue.

Jumpers need to be linked for ten seconds. After taking out the battery, keep it out for 10 to 15 minutes so the capacitors discharge. Do you have all the previous components?

What kind of power source are you employing? Which previous GPU model did you have? Ensure the two PCI-E 8-pin connectors for the graphics card are firmly attached—they are essential. Confirm your monitor is connected to the rear of the 5700 XT, not the motherboard’s back.

All the old components are back in place. Where exactly are the jumpers positioned on your board? Your previous GPU was a GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB RAM. You’re using an Astrape M1 550mW power supply. You only have two 6-pin connectors and two extra ones attached to those pins. Your HDMI is connected directly to the graphics card.

Notice clearly marked in the lower right corner of the mainboard. (I might have chosen a different color. The large circle was funny.)

It might be possible to upgrade the PSU later, but right now I'm focusing on resolving the display problem. I'll keep the graphics card in place and use the older one until then.

You should wear a small jumper, though a flat head screwdriver works too. Just take care not to damage the board. A useful tip is to connect an old case reset switch so it can be used when things get stuck.
