You recently purchased a new power supply and connected it, but it's producing an unusual sound. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! The file name is Gigabyte P1000GM 20220709_160101.mp4.

You might want to stay calm—no major failure expected over the weekend. It seems more likely a coil whine problem, which could be resolved by adjusting the PSU to 1000W without issues.

It seems the audio quality was poor, so I considered moving the mic closer. The issue might relate to a bearing problem with the fan. Proper bearings should operate quietly and enable smooth movement. I wouldn’t be concerned about the fan stopping this weekend, though it would be noticeable if it did. Because it’s clearly a manufacturing defect, you’re entitled to a warranty replacement.

Sorry for the brief clip. As soon as I noticed the sound, I decided to quickly capture and power down the PC just in case it was more serious. Your assistance will help with the replacement on Monday! I’m not sure if you could hear it above the main noise, but there’s another more “whiny” sound coming from the PSU. Any thoughts on what that might be?

Here’s a revised version of your message:

Do you have a brief sample of the more 'grumpy' audio? Please share it so I can listen. 20220709_154954 (1).mp4

Might be coil whine, but I’d consider swapping the PSU.
