You're experiencing compatibility issues between your OnePlus 8T and your dad's Windows 11 setup. The phone only charges and installs drivers on Windows 10, but not on Windows 11. To make it work on the Windows 11 machine, you may need to:

- Update the phone's firmware or check for a Windows 11-specific version.
- Use a USB adapter or cable that supports the latest OS.
- Contact OnePlus support for Windows 11 compatibility.
- Consider using a USB-C to USB-A adapter if available.

the file is available, you can also locate another by entering your phone model and the term "driver" afterward. after saving, open Device Manager in Windows, you'll see an Android phone entry, right-click it, go to Properties, select the driver tab, press Update Driver, and then choose the downloaded file from your link or your own.

Previously tested OnePlus drivers don't seem to matter much. It appears the USB C port might be defective. Perhaps it will work correctly about every 10 to 12 attempts.
