I've experienced some problems with my ISP lately, especially during early mornings when speeds drop drastically from 2 to 6 am. I initially thought a simple power cycle of the modem might resolve the issue, but that only led to my Nighthawk router becoming completely unresponsive. Now, when I connect my PC directly via Ethernet, it works fine. The situation has persisted for at least 16 hours without any resolution. I've tried several steps: power cycling both devices, using the router's reset button to reconfigure settings through Genie, checking all connections (Ethernet, power, coaxial), and confirming the router lights are functioning properly. However, the Genie can't detect an active connection, and I'm unable to get new IP settings. I've contacted my ISP and Netgear, but they indicated the problem lies between the modem and router, suggesting it's not a simple fix. My only option is to reconfigure the router myself, though that seems unlikely given the current state. Do you have any additional details or specs that might help diagnose this?

Have you explored linking to the router through its web interface? Typically something like 192.168.1.1 works, and since you also have a Nighthawk, that’s a good approach. I haven’t used the Genie recently—it didn’t perform well a few years ago.

You should explore the router's interface settings to adjust configurations. Check for any restrictions or access issues that might prevent internet connectivity.

The problem with Paddy-Stone has been resolved. The method to display the IP address was initially configured as "Get dynamically from ISP," but after changing the setting again, it worked. The internet is now functioning properly. Appreciate your feedback!

Everything should be fine now. Probably just a glitch in the system, though I think it might be something with my older camera model. Most issues are fixed these days.
