I don’t have details about that particular motherboard. My knowledge suggests Q processors typically only run at higher speeds on genuine Intel boards. This information may be outdated, and using a different socket could make it fail completely.

It appears you're referring to a support page for a motherboard model. Would you like me to summarize the information or help with something specific about it?

I don't believe it was true at the time. I recall it somewhat faintly having overclocking features in the BIOS on an ASUS P43 board using a Q9650 chip.

I was among the first to try the system. It could have been accurate then, or perhaps I received misleading details.

It might have been limited to the initial phases. Regardless, I’m not very familiar with that system—I was just a teenager during the LGA 775 era and used a Core 2 Quad back then.

I used to be younger. My recollection is that it was the first 4/4 CPU. I don’t remember if it’s so outdated it can resist specter or meltdown issues. Its IPC is significantly low by today’s standards. If it really is vulnerable, it would be extremely fragile and require major fixes to avoid big performance drops.
