Hello, recently I purchased an RX 7900 XT Founders Edition only to discover it was faulty and returned it. Subsequently, I bought an RX 7900 XT Sapphire Pulse but noticed a strange noise emanating from the GPU/PSU area—its volume increases with higher system load. It doesn’t sound like a fan hum; when I power off the PC, the noise disappears while the system starts shutting down and the fans still spin. I captured three videos showing the case open near the GPU/PSU. The system specs are: Seasonic G12 GC Series 850W 80 Plus Gold RX 7900 XT, i7-12700K, 4.9GHz, 4x8GB RAM GDDR4, CL16, 3000MHz, NH-D15S chromax black ATX, Msi Pro Z690A, DDR4. My previous graphics card was an RX 5700 XT with identical parts, and I didn’t hear this issue. I’m hoping I won’t have to return another graphics card or send the PSU for warranty, as Seasonic is known for reliability. Since the sound isn’t very noticeable and I use headphones, it’s unlikely to be heard during normal operation. Thank you for reading all of this. No load (just Windows + Steam/Discord). Coil Whine is connected to fps the more you have the louder it is. nothing can be done about it. headphones, i guess a more in closed case, sell or return the gpu. psus can have it too but if it didn't do it with the other gpu then its probably not that. Coil Whine is not considered a warranty i dont think and its dose not fall under defective. any gpu or brand can have it its just luck basted. its a part on the pcb that vibrates and unless you no who can un solder it and replace it nothing can be done about it. thow yt gpu fix videos seem to pull magic out the ass they probably could fix it but at what cost i dont no. Only you can confirm if it's actually happening. I’d turn off all the fans and stop the GPU fans so you can check manually. Vibration issues might also be a factor. My case has this problem—only the CPU and GPU fans run at low speed, but it still vibrates, and it’s on my side panel. Edited February 1, 2023 by thrasher_565
