Attempted a boot with 1.16 CPU IO voltage, but the display showed red letters. Unknown cause of the issue.
I’m unsure about MSI boards—knowing Gigabyte and ASUS only gives me a rough idea. I assume CPU SA matches VCCSA and CPU IO aligns with VCCIO, typically staying around 1.2 volts. I’m not sure, so I’ll reset it to defaults and try raising the DRAM voltage to 1.4v.
I would check the memory modules to confirm their speed settings, reinsert them carefully, and gently push them in place. Reseating has often resolved issues with memory sticks that were previously problematic. Additionally, test each stick individually at its specified speeds.
The BIOS display shows 1.2V instead of the expected 1.35V for DRAM voltage. It seems this was before any BIOS settings were applied after a default reset. Just checking the motherboard manual now. MSi doesn’t provide much detail on advanced BIOS options or voltages, which is frustrating. Make sure you’re using slots #2 and #4 for two memory sticks. From what I see: CPU SA Voltage = VCCSA, CPU IO Voltage = VCCIO around 1.10V to 1.15V should be okay; the low reading might be why MSi flags it as problematic.
It usually doesn't matter unless you're trying to guarantee the memory stays in the two channels. Back in the day, I remember on an MSi X58 board, certain slots really did count. If it applies here, slots A2 and B2 would perform better with XMP enabled.
