Hi Everyone - The computer specifications are attached. I bought new RAM (link below). It’s 3600 MHz and I’m using it with my X570 MB and an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with 12 cores. The RAM is functioning well in my system, as confirmed by a 20-hour memory test. However, whenever I restart Windows, I encounter error messages before I can log in, and I have to perform some actions to get back. My IT specialist mentioned possible compatibility problems with this speed and processor, but I haven’t found clear details. Please note this RAM is listed on the QVL for this motherboard. RAM Link: G.Skill Trident Z NEO Series 128GB (4 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM PC4-28800 DDR4 3600 CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Quad Channel Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18Q-128GTZN at Amazon.com. Question: Do anyone have advice? I feel it’s almost too late to exchange the RAM and I’d like to keep it.

Increase the memory voltage slightly to check for improvement, though it seems to point more toward a storage problem than RAM. Use the System file checker (enabled via Winaero Tweaker) to help Windows locate and fix damaged system files. Consider running tools like Hard Disk Sentinel to assess the condition of your SSD.

You weren’t informed about changing RAM speed. Could you guide me to the right place? It’s possible to lower it to 3200; which tool should I use? Is there a BIOS setting for that?

Just a note: after installing my previous 64GB Corsair RAM, the issue disappeared. The new RAM cost around $450, which made me think about using it.

BIOS has XMP / DOCP auto-overclock settings (which I've found don't always get the timings right), or you can set them manually. On my board, I believe it's under AI tuner, in DRAM voltage / timings. There's also a box in the first screen I get to in advanced mode that allows me to change the RAM speed. How I know a little about this is a long story, but to make it short, I wound up installing 3200 Patriot Viper 4 Blackout in a B550 / 5900X, and 3600 Ballistix in a B450 / 3600X test bed. The B450 / 3600X got the timings right with DOCP. The B550 / 5900X, however, was another story, requiring manual timings to 16-18-18-36, because DOCP kept coming up with some wonky 20-20-20-43 timings (RAM was on QVL for mine as well). But if you're not familiar with manually setting them, you might want to read up a bit on what the numbers are for and what they mean. Hey team, I’m planning to test this this morning and wish everything goes smoothly. I came across a YouTube tutorial with helpful tips on adjusting the settings. Do you still believe it might be related to an SSD problem if everything works when I install my 64GB 3200Mhz RAM? Also, since the Windows SSD is only a year old, what are your thoughts?

Having 128GB of RAM is quite substantial. You may need to set it to run at 3200 MHz, and consider slightly increasing the SOC voltage, perhaps around 1.15V.

Hey everyone, I just checked the BIOS and discovered a setting named High Frequency Memory Support. I enabled it, and now my PC boots without any crashes. I should wait a bit but this seems to have resolved the issue. If it doesn’t, I’ll try increasing the voltage as Freeagent suggested and then gradually lowering the speed. I’m pretty sure this fixed the problem since I was consistently getting errors every time I restarted. I’ll follow up if this helps someone else later.

Did it fail after your last update? I’m experiencing a comparable problem with a nearly same setup (ROG Strix X570-E).
