I assembled a fresh PC and am facing several issues that seem confusing. The machine is becoming sluggish and experiencing crashes. I've already checked my GPU, RAM, and SSD on my sister's setup. The components I have are: CPU - Ryzen 9 3900x, Motherboard - Biostar x470GTN, GPU - RTX 2060, RAM - 2x 8GB at 3200MHz, SSD - EVO 850 500GB. My main concern is whether my motherboard can accommodate the CPU I'm using. What do you think?

Your motherboard works, but have you upgraded your BIOS to the newest release? The X470 boards were introduced when the 3rd generation Ryzen chips were available.

It seems this board might not be ideal for a Ryzen 9, even if it works. Consider updating your BIOS for potential improvements.

Could the issue lie with the motherboard itself?

It should function properly, just maintain the CPU temperature low and avoid trying to overclock. The VRM temperatures are the main issue here.

Yes, it's generally considered a suitable choice for the motherboard as long as the CPU can handle the stress from 3D rendering without overclocking.

It should work just fine. The 3rd generation Ryzen chips don’t really benefit much from overclocking, so focusing on fast RAM would give better results. If you’re interested in tweaking things further, trying to adjust the RAM speeds and timings could be the way to go.
