I was attempting to transfer files from my phone storage to my PC storage using a USB connection, but it keeps rejecting unless I enable the Link to Windows feature on my phone. The new phone MTP folder setup and the Link to Windows Device Status updates have also caused issues. It seems this error code is either recently introduced or very uncommon. Any assistance would be appreciated. Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (OS Build 26100.7171)

Avoid phone links and ensure MTP is activated in the USB window.

The curious aspect is that my phone seldom displays the "Media Access" request when connected to my PC; instead, it quickly moves to Media Transfer mode. Now, it refuses to do so and the alert never shows up.

Consider an alternative cable.

Great counsel, I hadn’t even considered how offended that was. 😅

Unclear what’s going on, but all four cables I’ve used haven’t worked before, yet the explorer feature switched back to the standard version. The spoiler and the link to Windows device status are missing now. It seems to be functioning again, though. Hmm.
