Check the setup carefully. Verify every standoff is correctly placed and functioning. Scan the area for any loose connections or stray components that could damage the motherboard. Inspect the case for any bent parts or unexpected contact points.

If it functioned outside the enclosure, something clearly occurred in between. Given your symptoms, an internal short is likely present. Confirm all standoffs are properly installed and inspect every connection thoroughly—make sure there’s no unintended contact, such as against the chassis.

Correct. I overlooked that section. If the power source is disconnected, as long as all components are properly linked, no power will be supplied.

The image shows the standoffs. If you did anything incorrect, please let me know. I've checked all components and confirmed they function properly, so I'll now reassemble the PC.
