It should perform similarly to other CPUs at 1440p and 4K resolutions, since the workload will depend on the graphics card.

For the latest titles I’m missing the clear benefit of moving to a new platform, even with DDR5 support. Games must be designed for DDR5 performance to truly utilize it. Sure, some improvements will appear, but they won’t be revolutionary compared to what we have now on AM4 and LGA-1200. Unless you’re a tech creator or in the field needing faster render times, don’t rush to adopt cutting-edge solutions just yet.

Yes, it should suffice for basic gameplay without major performance drops.

For gaming that meets regular needs, a GPU is the main component to consider upgrading soon. Within about two years, you might need to lower settings, though it shouldn’t stop you from playing, particularly at resolutions under 1440p.

Slightly improved price point and cheaper version available. Use your RAM on the DDR4 board.

It's not what it seems. The 13600k performs worse than the R7 5800X3D when used with DDR4 RAM. This appears to be a significant mistake for those evaluating DDR5 performance of new CPUs and comparing them to other models intended for DDR4 setups. 13th generation Intel requires DDR5 to remain the fastest gaming processors available. Using DDR4 makes them considerably slower compared to the current top CPU.

The issue I was addressing was about a 12700k model, not a 58003dx.

I was going through an article about the rising temperatures of the latest AMD processors, and since Brazil experiences very hot weather sometimes, I need an excellent cooler to keep things running smoothly. I’m considering a new socket CPU, but with these high temps I might prefer sticking with the 5800X3D.

However, as you can observe, DDR5 delivers an incredible boost in speed.

Typically around 3600mhz DDR4 offers good value, being roughly 10% slower than the more expensive 6400mhz DDR5. While a 10% difference might seem minor, it represents a noticeable gap between generations of processors. It makes sense to prioritize performance over marginal gains, especially when upgrading to newer chips.
