Hi, I'm dealing with a strange problem. The issue involves the AiO component on my ASUS ROG STRIX LC II 360. It has a micro-USB cable meant to connect to the motherboard's USB2.0 header, but when I plug it in, the logo on the MB stays on even when the PC is off, and I can't power it up. Removing the cable resolves the problem. No helpful search results found so far—any suggestions would be appreciated.

Confirm if the pump isn't linked to a hub together with the fans and USB header on the motherboard

there are separate cables for fans, RGB fans, pumps, and a micro USB connection for RGB lighting on the pump. The USB cable for pumps is being discussed, especially when it's removed. When the USB is connected to the MB header, the pump, fans, and RGB display function properly in BIOS and Armoury Crate. However, plugging the USB into the MB header causes the system to fail, the RGB logo disappears from the MB screen, and the pump doesn't start.

Consider alternative USB connectors. If your claim holds, consult an Asus support representative and possibly initiate a return authorization. This appears not to be a user mistake. It might simply be a faulty unit.

In the worst scenario, it could be the motherboard that's faulty, which based on my experiences usually happens more often than not.

The more reasonable person would likely get an RMA processed, as the service can resolve issues but it’s preferable to receive what you paid for. A BIOS update might be worth a try, but it probably won’t solve the problem.

It's okay to feel this way, but it seems like the best option is to give them a chance. I'm hoping they respond soon.

Yeah, I get it. It's frustrating. Maybe ASUS can provide a better option, or at least find a replacement.

ASUS also suggested initiating a return or replacement mechanism.
