I halted the test around the middle of the second cycle due to impatience and the feeling it wasn’t over yet. I still gave a "PASS," though I’m unsure if that matters since it didn’t complete all the passes. Both sticks performed okay on their own, which is confusing. I might try it again.
I completely understand—staying updated is important, but sometimes you need to adapt to what’s available. Transitioning from older setups can be tough because new components often require almost complete replacements. Used OEM boards are usually affordable if they meet the standard 24-pin power and typical form factor requirements.
I recommend a 400 series AM4 card or a 500 series, ensuring it supports all Ryzen models.
I’ve got a B450 from Gigabyte and a Ryzen 5 1600 with 16GB DDR4 3200MHz. Right now it’s working okay; maybe I’ll upgrade to a newer Ryzen 7 someday.

It worked fine overall, just a minor issue with one SATA port. I got the board and CPU (they still have some warranty) for $150 and RAM for $60. Selling what I had helped me recoup at least half the cost. I didn’t want to try 1150 boards anymore because they’re outdated and the platform is too old.
