My top pick: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas since I adore the story—it was my first open-world title on the second console. Minecraft is another favorite because it’s just so straightforward and lets you do whatever you like (I realized that right from its initial release).
I've completed around ten rounds of this game. It's also possible to enjoy it on my phone using emulators.
-Gothic 1+2 blends story, world, humor and challenge in a unique way—best sci-fi tale ever.
World from Witcher shines with vivid settings and art design.
Crysis 1 left me amazed by its graphics and performance.
Never Winter Nights and Baldursgate deliver top-notch storytelling and gameplay.
Fallout and TES offer expansive open worlds, freedom, modding, and plenty of reasons to keep playing.
Counterstrike 1.0 stands out as the best CS experience ever, with hours of LAN fun.
Halflife captures its essence perfectly—what else could be said?
Doom 1+2 and Wolfenstein are my first great egoshooters, forever etched in memory.
That’s about it for now.
I'm still catching my breath from all this. The Last of Us stands out—it delivers its narrative and characters in such a compelling way, making me truly connect with them. Witcher offers a captivating tale that feels real. Zelda titles always impress me; Ocarina of Time is a standout, and Minish Cap surprised me with its charm and originality. I’m particularly fond of Kingdom Hearts for its fresh take on the franchise. Final Fantasy series has many gems, each with its own unique flair. I’m glad gaming wouldn’t be complete without these titles. The list keeps growing with every recommendation.
I'm surprised by the feedback. I haven't played Isolation, Shenmue, or To the Moon much, and I wasn't too fond of Xenoverse. But overall, +8/10 for everything. ---- Mine Chrono Cross: My first game I ever replayed from start to finish. +2 times Mass Effect: After a certain Salarian's death I couldn't finish 3, but it just highlights how impressive that title was. Pokemon series: a fun and relaxing collection where I can unwind without stress. Each installment gives me about 36 hours of playtime. Crash Bandicoot: Why did Naughty Dog make Drakes Uncharted so serious??!? Digimon World: I'm including some DS/3DS titles too. I have Cyber Sleuths but haven't played them yet. Final Fantasy 9: I don't understand why it hooked me, but after 10 it felt like a decline. Fallout: It uses one of my favorite dystopian settings, makes it an open-world experience, and consumes hundreds of hours. I love Bethesda. Elder Scrolls: Not as strong as Fallout, but I enjoy being an elf with a bow like Legolas! CS:GO 1.6: The ultimate FPS for both men and women – my first real introduction to multiplayer. Day of Defeat: Set in WWII, I got into competitive play and thought I could compete in FPS, but I was too young (10-13) and esports wasn't that popular then. DoD:S: A huge letdown compared to the games I loved. Call of Duty: Story fell out of favor and multiplayer is plagued by annoying players and hackers. Halo: I enjoyed CE to Reach, but 4 was too much for a Xbone for Guardians build. Probably more to think about now :3
