Hey there, I built my new setup recently (5800x, 16 GB DDR4-4400 RAM, 850W PSU, RTX 3070). I'm using the Corsair iH150 Pro RGB XT liquid cooling for the CPU. The fan noise is really loud now. Checking the stats from Libre Hardware Monitor shows Fan #5 spinning over 2700 RPM at idle, while the others aren't that fast. Temperatures are low as expected. I tried turning off all fans manually, but the noise keeps coming through, so it's not working. Anyone with a similar build has had this problem? How did you manage to lower the fan speed or shut it down without removing anything? Thanks!
There seem to be no recent updates available through Armoury Crate. CPU-Z displays the current status.
I own the non-WiFi model, though it had several problems that luckily the BIOS updates resolved. I suggest checking the update first—version 2607 was a while back. Regarding the Armory Crate, I removed it some time ago, as it doesn’t affect the BIOS. Link: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF...Desk_BIOS/
Only another idea comes to mind: contact ASUS support to find out if any solutions exist, in case someone else has useful suggestions. Good luck!
Always verify BIOS updates yourself instead of relying on Armoury Crate. Next, I was planning to note the number of fans installed, since it seemed the PCH fan wasn’t the one increasing. You can also take advantage of the included Ai Suite.
