It should function properly. Certain options like rgb may not work well or be adjustable in the OS, but core features will operate correctly. Be sure to use the latest version of mint since it's a new platform. The drivers come with the OS, so you don't need to download them from ASUS or other sources.
The networking setup is entirely Intel-based and doesn't require RGB support, so it should function properly out of the box. For optimal performance, Linux Kernel 5.18 or later is advised.
Thank you very much for your assistance. I will buy it and bring my report back later, then enjoy a pleasant evening.
One Intel laptop, one Marvell, and Wi-Fi indicates Asus Wifi (no chipset details mentioned). @LadyDragon It shouldn't be an issue. My Z690 board functions well in Mint. I needed to enter compatibility mode for the install, then again after installation I had to do it again for a newer kernel and drivers. It shouldn't be complicated—just install the latest kernel via the update manager in Mint. If you're using an NVIDIA card, you can get drivers from the driver manager. Everything should operate smoothly.
I overlooked that one—it's a Marvell (Aquantia AQC113CS). It runs on Kernel 5.8+ with Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX210, and Kernel 5.10+. For more details, check the hardware probe here: https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=a789a0bd98
Thanks for reaching out. I installed Linux Mint 21 yesterday and everything seems to be working well so far, but one of my hard drives isn’t being recognized—it looks like it might not be mounted. I’m trying to figure out the best way to mount it. Any suggestions?
