This ASRock X570 Creator TB3 motherboard isn't functioning properly.
Hey there. I've been searching everywhere for assistance with my new motherboard. I just built my first PC a few weeks back and used a TB3 motherboard, aiming to connect some TB2 devices like the OWC TB2 dock and OWC Thunderbay 4. But neither of these is showing up on my PC—though the ports work when the Thunderbag 4 is plugged in, and the mouse connects when I use a USB wireless transmitter. No USB flash drives show either. I tried a few fixes: updating the BIOS, changing TB3 mode to "no security" in BIOS, installing ASRock TB3 drivers, and even testing a random Lenovo TB3 driver. Since this is my first PC build, I might have made a mistake, but I figured this was for the TB3 and thought you could help. My other PC parts include a Fractal R6 case, 32GB G.Skill ripjaw RAM, a 250GB NVMe SSD, a WD Black M.2 SSD, a Ryzen 7 3800X processor, and an MSI RTX 2080 Super. Thanks a lot for your time!
I'm uncertain about the motherboard's ThunderBolt availability since the manual lists USB-C instead. Could you check if a TB3 adapter is needed for connecting to a TB2 device? A suggested converter is available here: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Thun...B019FPJDQ2
