System runs on an Intel i5 6500T with onboard graphics or a single RX Vega64 GPU. RAM is Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz (operating at 2133Mhz CL15). Storage includes a 2TB SSD and Gskill Trident Z RGB at the same speed. Power supply is Corsair HX1200i ATX with 24-pin connection. CPU cooler fan and peripherals are connected via USB ports. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is installed via USB. The setup process involves multiple configurations and attempts to boot.
I have a setup with one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and the other twelve are PCIe 2.0 x1. It sounds promising, but I'm planning to test it tomorrow. P.S. I really hope the memory sticks out (3000 and 3200Mhz). I understand it's rated for up to 2400Mhz, though I once found the BIOS defaulting to 2133 at CL15, which isn't ideal. I ordered a 2133Mhz kit in case this is the issue.
use pcie 1.0 as the default, even if it doesn't work without a GPU. You might want to turn off some built-in features like audio or Wi-Fi, and check if that resolves the issue. Once you're in Windows, install the correct driver and then enable it.
It remains a problem even today. A new installation was just done a few days ago, but my wireless isn't working yet—I'm almost never using it anyway.
Everything is fine, just install the right driver after startup and turn it back on. It's not that complicated.
