I just swapped my old Intel CPU/motherboard for a Ryzen 5 3600 on an ASROCK b450m pro4 board. Installation went smoothly, but when I tried to boot the system it won’t power up at all—no fan noise, no lights. I’ve done the following: rechecking cables, GPU, and RAM; testing the board with only power cables connected; trying a direct PSU connection from outlet to motherboard; manually shorting power pins on the board. I’m hoping it’s just dead despite careful handling. Any guidance on what to do next would be super helpful. Thanks!

Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Cooling: AMD Wraith Stealth MOBO
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
- RAM: 2x 8GB DDR4-2400
- SSD: 240GB WD GREEN, 6.0 GB/s SATA III
- HDD: 1TB 3.5SATA III, 7200RPM
- PSU: ATNG ATM-600FB, 240V

A label on the board indicates the BIOS version it includes, which typically reads something like "BIOS 5.2" or "Version X.Y.Z".

The label on the BIOS chipset states "P4.30". Confirmed.

I reviewed it once more and didn’t spot any clear issues. There are no bent pins, scratches, or damaged edges. Just a normal look.

After reviewing the details, it seems the power supply unit is likely the problem. The symptoms often point to a faulty PSU. Replace it as soon as possible, even if it doesn’t fix the current issue—it can help avoid hardware damage from a poor PSU. This risk might be higher here, and a better unit could prevent more serious failures. The tier list can guide your choice.

You weren't sure it was the power supply since it functioned properly before swapping the motherboard or CPU, but you're likely correct that a replacement is needed now.
