i was planning to purchase a chroma 2 key from csgo priced at 2.49. when i checked my wallet, only 4 cents remained, so i added funds. i noticed the minimum amount i could contribute was 5 dollars, which means i’d need to spend 5 dollars for an item worth just 2 dollars. why does steam enforce this? i get why the maximum contribution is capped at 100 dollars to prevent account theft, but why not allow smaller contributions? there are many items under 5 dollars, yet it still feels like a loss of value. what do you think? personally, i believe there should be an option to set a custom minimum amount that won’t exceed 100 dollars.
Reducing the amount seems to offer little benefit at transaction costs for Steam, as it’s now available for free.
You can purchase it directly using a card or PayPal. You won't have to rely on the Steam wallet or add money to it.
Never purchased skins or CS:GO keys before; not confident about it.
