You're dealing with a tricky situation! It sounds like you're trying various workarounds but not seeing the expected results. Let's break it down:

- You've tried disabling User Account Control (UAC), using PowerShell, and creating a new admin account via CMD.
- You've searched extensively online, but nothing seems to fix the problem.
- The issue might be related to a hidden admin blocking the software.
- Your friend received an .exe file, but it's not working as expected.

Since you're looking for a clear solution, here are some next steps:
1. **Check for hidden admin settings** – Sometimes background processes or system services block apps.
2. **Run the app with administrator privileges** – Make sure it's actually running with full access.
3. **Update your Windows version** – Older versions may have compatibility issues.
4. **Use a virtual machine** – Isolate the problem by testing in a VM.
5. **Consult Microsoft support** – They might have specific guidance for .exe files or similar scenarios.

If you need more targeted help, let me know what the app does and any error messages you're seeing.

It’s rarely about admin issues; it’s more about not unblocking the file properly. It appears in versions 10, 11, and possibly 8, though I don’t recall using it much. Right-click the file, select "Unblock this file," then apply changes. Clarity note:

This was among the initial items we checked; there isn’t an option like that. I understand it’s a button in the properties menu, but it doesn’t appear to be there.

Two steps back here... which application are you attempting to launch, and does the notification contain a partially hidden "dark pattern" with extra details? Consider using the run anyways option.

I understand this has previously led to problems with some files not working or installing correctly. It seems strange since most downloaded files from the web appear fine right away.

It seems there’s no available choice to proceed as planned. We attempted to turn off the smart screen and antivirus completely, but results were identical. Note: This isn’t my friend’s image—it’s not the app you’re thinking of.

Have you explored options similar to this? It appears to be compatible with Windows 10.

Execute the command as administrator. If I remember correctly, use "run" or "start" followed by the full path to the file enclosed in quotes, such as "C:\Path\To\File.txt".

You're encountering a message that suggests the necessary file isn't present or is damaged. It points to a potential problem with the AutorunGUI.DLL, which is related to how Windows loads certain components. This could indicate an issue with your system files or a corrupted installation.

Ensure all required files are present for the installation. It's better to run setup.exe instead of autorun.
