It doesn't crash during testing because appropriate checks were performed. Consider using fitting tests and running them. If it still fails, return to the source and present evidence. Using Memtest is a wise approach.

Hi @PDifolco, the test seems okay but it crashes when checking temperatures during games. @jaslion ran memtest on just 1GB RAM and everything passed with no issues. They also tried running a benchmark for FF14 and still got crashes. The event log showed a serious hardware error in the processor. Someone mentioned that Zen 3 struggles above 3200MHz in this BIOS, and an update to F15d might help. The previous BIOS was F4, which only worked with Zen 2. There are newer updates at F15a and F15d—should I upgrade to F15d to fix the problem? Or should I keep using 2400MHz RAM?

It might be related to the RAM, motherboard damage, BIOS issues, chipset drivers, or AMD hard disk drivers—don’t install those unless using generic ones. The PSU could also be the culprit. Overheating is another possibility. I’m not making this up; these are the most probable causes. First, run MemTest64 to check RAM (follow the instructions). Then examine the BIOS—likely the issue there. Next, inspect the motherboard. If the PC still doesn’t function properly, it could be a bigger problem. This process may require a lot of troubleshooting, possibly needing new RAM or other parts. The shop seems uninformed, as shown by their use of a faulty vacuum cleaner.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll start by reinstalling Windows and skipping the driver or chipset installation. I'll only play benchmark and Steam games to see if the problem persists. Yes, I'll head back to the store one final time.

You could try updating to the latest bios. Is the issue present with default bios settings? Have you tried reseating the CPU and making sure there isn't any dust in the socket or on the pins?

Hey everyone, back now. Apologies for the delayed responses. The issue is resolved—my CPU has been switched to a new Ryzen 5 5600X, which fixed the problem. They tried various fixes without changing the CPU but still faced crashes during FF14 Endwalker. After updating to the latest BIOS from GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC v15d, I’ve been playing for an hour and there are no more crashes. Thanks!
