I enjoy CS2 at 720p low and BF V at 1080p high. Comparing 12400f versus E5 2697A V4 with a 1080ti—both seem to avoid overloading the GPU? Playing at 720p low would make it suitable for LAN gaming sessions. Here are links to my AliExpress cart components: Intel Xeon E5 2697A V4 E5-2697AV4 processor 2.6GHz, 40M, 16-core, 32-thread, 145W, 14nm LGA 2011-3 CPU; MACHINIST RS9 X99 motherboard; and AliExpress RAM DDR4 8GB/16GB, 2666MHz/3200MHz. The latter is much more affordable than the 12400f, ddr5 6800mhz 2 x 16gb ASRock B760M PG Riptide.

Avoid purchasing computer components from Ali Express unless you're indifferent about their condition and performance.

Aim for Coffee Lake or Zen 2 instead of Broadwell.

I rather prefer not to spend any money than risk sending it into the void.

I understand this well. I've been using the site for eight years now. It's just something I enjoy doing. I've consistently received refunds when products didn't meet expectations, whether it was a computer, CPU, or GPU.

I already have DDR5 RAM, an LGA 1700 cooler, and I’m considering a total investment of around 300 euros. The Chinese build would cost 120 euros, the 12400F would be 150 euros, and the motherboard would add another 150 euros, bringing the total to 300 euros. If I opt for the newer system, it offers some upgrade potential compared to the Xeon, but since I plan to use the PC up to ten times a year mainly for LAN parties, I’m unsure if it’s worth such a large investment.
