Third GPU isn't showing up on the Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra board for your home server. Need assistance!
Machine specifications include a 3700x processor, x470 gigabyte Aorus Ultra, four 32GB Crucial DDR4 modules (total 64GB), two 500GB NVMe SSDs, three 4TB IronWolf NAS drives, two 1TB 2.5-inch HDDs, two 1050Ti graphics cards, a 2.5Gb Ethernet PCI card, and a Coolermaster 80+ white 550W power supply. Proxmox is running smoothly with GPU passthrough to multiple VMs and all drives shared across them. Everything seems functional so far. I plan to add a Quadro P400 for additional GPU passthrough, connecting it via a monitor for display output within that VM. However, the third graphics card isn’t showing up in Proxmox or the BIOS, even after checking 'lspci -v'. The BIOS sets the primary display output to a PCIe 3 slot, but the Quadro isn’t appearing there—only the first PCI slot shows its BIOS. I’ve adjusted settings like 'above 4G', changed PCIe speed to Gen 1, and set ARI to enable, but nothing works. I’m unsure if I’m missing something or if there’s an issue with the hardware itself. Can I avoid using a third GPU on my motherboard? Or is there something I’m doing incorrectly? Thanks.
The third PCIe port and the second M.2 slot cannot be used simultaneously on that motherboard.
