Thinking about upgrading to Windows 11?
I run Windows 10 on a computer that fits everything except the CPU. It won't start up. Why is this happening and are there fixes I can try?
Your computer might lack TPM support, and that rule was set by Microsoft for new versions of Windows 11. Even though there are tricks to fix this, some users say you won't be able to get those updates. A few people claim they still work, but it isn't always certain.
It has 4 cores and runs at 4 gigahertz speed with 64-bit support. It comes with a big main hard drive that holds 250 gigs, plus one extra drive for about 1 terabyte of space. And it's got 16 gigabytes of memory to use. Is there more?
Hey, I'm using a PowerSpec PC with an Intel Core i7-6700K CPU, a 64-bit setup on an ASRock motherboard called Z17O with an LGA-1151 socket. It has a Samsung SSD with 250GB of storage (labeled C) and a Toshiba hard drive that's 1TB in size.
Watch out for a new upgrade. I've heard some people have trouble running old games on a newer computer, like things before 2018. My Fallout 4 (released in 2015) runs great on Windows 11 after all the updates. But this PC already had Windows 11 installed. See my signature.
