Hey there! I just found out these games were originally on CDs but are now available on Steam. Since I paid for them, could I get a Steam key for any of these titles? The CDs didn’t include keys, that’s why. Here’s the list I have: Call of Juarez, Death To Spies, Postal 2, UberSoldier I & II, Rise of Nations with all DLCs, and CivCity: Rome. Would it be possible to reach the developers and ask for a free Steam key? I’ve got proof if you need it!

Maybe? You could simply upload the .exe to Steam or remove the CD/DVD if needed.

Postal joking and no, you won't receive a key. You need a key and the CD, but steam doesn't trade CDs for keys.

You'd likely trigger the installation of an executable file, which would launch the game as a non-steam version.

Some games need the disk to begin. Newer titles (post-2007) often skip this, though a few still do. Yes, you'd have to launch it outside the Steam environment. Probably not ideal, as you miss out on rewards and similar features.

A very cheap character, like something from Inside Gaming or Funhaus.
