Things aren't the same anymore.
Hey there, friends. I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my PC. Around mid-2023, I noticed lag when playing battle royale games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, and Warzone. Now, recently, even basic games are causing stutters or crashes, especially in Warzone. I remember my PC was fine back then, mostly playing War Thunder. I'm not sure if updating drivers or BIOS fixed the issue, or if changing my CPU would help. I have an Intel i5-10500, a Gigabyte H410M, and a Ryzen 580 4GB with 16GB RAM (from 2023), plus a GTX 960 2GB. I'm thinking about upgrading to something like the Pentium G6400 or switching to a full AMD build in 2024. What do you think?
It could simply be the extended usage of your operating system, which becomes cluttered over time and causes noticeable slowdowns, especially on less powerful devices. If a new installation doesn’t resolve this issue, it points to a more fundamental problem.
The available storage is a dual-core processor, which isn't enough for gaming. The 6C/12T model is recommended first.
Sanitize the drive, restart the installation, refresh the BIOS, and clear the CMOS. It’s actually a potato—consider upgrading instead.
