You see the chart directly ahead... what's the point of seeking further clarification?

980ti represents the maximum you can afford without overspending, which is satisfactory.

I’m okay with spending a lot of money; it’s unlikely a 980ti would handle this game at 1440p and 60fps.

I understand, but you can deduce from the info that a 770 handling 1080p at 60fps suggests a 1080p performance should work at 1440p at 60fps. Use common sense, and keep in mind this chart is limited until the game releases. Any guesses based on that will likely be educated estimates. 980ti also handles 4k at 30fps, so it should manage 1440 smoothly.

It works well, matching the GTX 1070. Likely best at medium levels, though that goes beyond what’s usually considered sensible. Understanding card performance is important, something schools probably don’t emphasize anymore.

Thank you for your response! I'll choose the 1080 option. Yes, I concur with Jurrunio. Most of us haven't used different graphics cards before, making it difficult to predict what's needed. That's why we're here on the forum.

I don't agree. Nvidia presents their products in a clear manner that helps compare performance. A lower-end model like 1060 can outperform a higher-end one such as 1070 at 4K, while a top-tier card like 1080Ti shines better on a 1440p display. They also teach this concept in schools, so it makes sense to understand it. It's about making sense of data and drawing logical conclusions.
