Hi, today it seems your GPU fans have suddenly started spinning too fast and loudly. On your GIGABYTE 3080, the two fans at the back and middle are working, but the front fan isn’t. I’ve noticed they’ve stopped spinning at 0 RPM once before, now they’re back up again. I’m not sure what’s causing the problem, but I’ve tried cleaning dust, updating drivers, booting into safe mode and reinstalling everything, plus checking the AMD chipset drivers. In HWInfo they still show 0 RPM. Any suggestions?
Upgrade seems minor, but after more testing with MSI Afterburner I managed to rev the front fan independently without fan sync, so it’s still running. The remaining two fans are spinning fast and show 0 on HWinfo. My chipset fan is now at 350 RPM and the chipset temperature has dropped to 56°C, which is unexpected since the x570 chipset usually stays around 2000+ RPM with GPU blocking it, keeping it in the 65-75°C range.
This appears to be a backup setting. The mainboard is ignoring the fans and it's running them at full speed to prevent issues. Would you like me to adjust the BIOS settings?
I've verified the details and my card's VBIO is F80, a rev.2 card. There are no downloads available on the gigabyte site for this card, so I believe it's not possible.
I attempted to flash using the vbios from techpowerup, thinking it was for my card, but it reported incompatibility. I'm struggling to locate the correct vbios for my device.
I'm sorry, it seems I missed adding that detail in the original post. After rewriting for clarity, I'm confident I have the EAGLE, likely the rev.2 version. I recall having an F80 BIOS, while others with rev.1 needed to flash their BIOS to activate Resizable BAR using F10-F50. I had the resizable bar ready as soon as I entered my BIOS settings.
