I began using 1.1.1.1 on the release day… my PFSense device uses it for DNS resolution. Please remember, choosing 1.1.1.1 as your DNS provider doesn’t include traffic encryption. If you enable their VPN options, that changes things. I’m emphasizing the need to understand this difference clearly.

Warp is the name behind their VPN service. I didn’t realize it before reading this discussion. I plan to explore it more. Still, my main goal is to provide better understanding for people who aren’t sure about the distinction between DNS and VPN.
