They won't display on USB.
Hello. I recently purchased an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus to go with a Ryzen 5600. I attempted to manually update the BIOS using various USB drives since my CPU is outdated. The process began correctly, with the flashing light initially blinking slowly and then speeding up during data writing. However, it never ceased. It can blink for over 25 minutes without stopping. I've tested different USB ports, 2.0 and 3.0, using MBR and FAT32 file formats. I'm struggling to resolve this issue. The BIOS file is labeled as MSI.ROM according to the instructions, and all connections—board and power supply—are in place. How long does it typically take? Should I leave it running for hours? The board does generate heat.
I've already tested all the options in the book, but it still doesn't function. The flashing light continues endlessly without stopping.
