I recently improved my computer with these details: CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, GPU: GTX 1060, 6GB RAM, motherboard: ASUS B350 M-A, PSU: 450W, storage: 250GB SSD plus 1TB HDD. I haven’t used it in about a year and recently added 16GB RAM and an RTX 2060. Now it won’t boot. Maybe the BIOS hasn’t been updated since I wasn’t using it long enough, so it can’t recognize my GPU? Anyone have any suggestions?

Check local stores for BIOS updates compatible with your board using Ryzen 1000 or 2000 chips. If none are available, bring it back and get a B450 board designed for the 3000 series. The MSI B450 Pro Max is recommended.

Many individuals commit this easy error... Ensure the output cable—HDMI, DVI, displayport, etc.—connects to the graphics card, not the motherboard.

Are you certain the CPU you're referring to is an R3 3100? I expect it to be a 1300. Do you still possess the original CPU?

It's simple to verify everything, replace your old CPU and attempt to upload. If issues persist, your 450W PSU might not provide enough power for the new setup and you may need a 500 or 550W unit. Also consider RAM installation quality or a BIOS upgrade. I also suggest changing the motherboard—Amazon purchases should support your CPU without requiring a BIOS update. Don't forget to perform a CMOS reset; sometimes motherboards resist changes, and briefly disconnecting the battery for a few minutes can make a big difference.
