I just wanted to clarify that saving money would be a smarter choice initially, and once you have enough funds, you could upgrade your current setup. That’s what I’d do in my case. I’m not a gamer myself—I mainly use computers for simulations, calculations, and CFD. I don’t own a VR headset either. For me, it doesn’t seem sensible to purchase a heavy VR headset and expect to play demanding games on this system.

Experience your VR man comfortably. Users often have unusual expectations regarding hardware sometimes.

I achieved the same outcome with an overclocked FX-8320 and GTX 1070. It functioned fine for titles like Dead and Buried and Robo Recall, but indie games posed issues quickly. A CPU upgrade resolved that problem. Rift or Vive?

I'm not upset, but he teased me since I can't afford a new computer.

I wasn't making a joke at all! It seems my reply was misunderstood completely. I usually try to keep things light. I can also respond in a very straightforward, business-like way if you'd like. But I believe we'll both get tired of that soon :-) Your determination to try VR is impressive, but as @kelvinhall05 pointed out, your money might have been better spent elsewhere if that was your goal.

Consider lower-cost RAM and a more affordable motherboard. Upgrade to an 8th generation Intel chip, which could enhance VR performance.

I’m having trouble locating more affordable RAM with RGB options. The ASUS board is my top choice, and I’d like to stick with it. Regarding Intel CPUs, they’re great but can be pricey and require a cooler. If you’d like, I can suggest more budget-friendly Intel or AMD options instead!
