They remain quiet in silent, performance or windows settings on my Asus TUF F15.
Hello, I just purchased a new Asus laptop TUF F15 featuring an i5 11th Gen 11400H processor, an RTX 3050 and 16 GB of RAM. I’m using it for both my studies and light gaming. After completing all updates, the system ran to version 306. However, I’ve noticed the machine stays hot even when idle, only heating up during browsing or streaming. In the ASUS APP "Armory Crate," I checked the fans—none of them spin in normal settings like Windows mode, silent mode, or performance mode. They only activate at full turbo. The CPU temperature consistently stays between 50 and 60°C, which seems unusual. During basic tasks like browsing or watching videos, it never reaches the 60°C mark. I’m new to Asus products, so I’d appreciate any advice from others who have the same model. Thanks! <3
Thank you for your message. I didn't attempt to use the firmware or cinebench; the fans function normally when accessing BIOS and turbo mode. It's strange they don't spin at all in silent and performance settings, with an average temperature of 55°C. My friends have different setups—GTX 1650 and a Ryzen 5—but their fans still run smoothly even in quiet mode, keeping the CPU cool. I'm looking for others with similar PCs to see if they experience the same issue.
