I believe this offers a practical method to save gameplay clips affordably—actually completely free. Utilize your own Nvidia GPU for shadow play on Twitch with minimal performance effect. Keep streaming whenever you play on Twitch; the platform retains your streams for 14 days, meaning every two weeks you can export all your Twitch recordings to YouTube either private or unlisted. While it stores videos at a compressed 720p resolution, it provides essentially unlimited free storage for game footage. The main constraint could be your internet bandwidth. I’ve tested this in Canada (200 Mbps down/30 Mbps up, unlimited at $60/month) and in the US (500 Mbps up/down, unlimited with campus internet at $20/month), and I’m confident downloading large games (over 50GB) from Steam works well regardless.

think about keeping it just in case it might be useful later, even if no one’s watching right now.

I think I’m a collector by default... Instead of getting rid of items, I just replace them with new ones, even though I’d never use or display the older ones.

That sounds like a big storage requirement—depending on the game settings, it could easily be around 170GB or more.

Are you sure? It seems unusual for an Ontario resident to have ISPs providing such high monthly caps. What’s your provider?
