I recently faced an issue where both my hard drives failed to appear in BIOS despite initial fixes. After switching cables and ensuring everything was correct, the problem resurfaced when I completely powered off the PC and then restarted it. Despite replacing the cables, the drives still wouldn’t show up. I brought them to a data recovery service, where one worked and I managed to retrieve data from the other. The recurring issue is that after a full shutdown, the drives seem to intermittently connect or disconnect. The cables appear new and undamaged, coming with my motherboard. I’m trying to identify the root cause.

It's really best to avoid those Firecuda tests completely.

I’d hope it’s not just the drives, since they started working right away after being plugged in at the recovery site. It might be related to the MoBo or the power supply unit.
