They resemble leftover parts from a surface mount device, yet they’re linked by a trace. It seems likely they serve as grounding connections or testing points for inspection purposes.

It could be a concern if one of the grounding pins detached. There are three of these pins, and one was completely removed during my cleaning of the adjacent thermal pads.

It's unclear whether they adjusted their position or if someone altered it. They might have been meant to sit higher than the inductor's height to reach the shielding on the back panel, enhancing EMI/interference protection.

It varies. If the issue was already covered by another pin with the same role, then it's fine. Otherwise, it could be a real concern. Usually, grounding pins connect to shielding parts on the case; removing that shielding might impact performance, especially in areas with high interference like near power lines.
