Hello! I just completed a fresh build. To give you a better idea, the components are: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite, MSI Gaming X Trio 2080 Super 16 GB G.Skill Trizent Z 3600 MHz 16-16-16 NZXT Kraken X62, NZXT H510 Elite. I was monitoring temps using NZXT CAM and noticed they were normal, but I expected idle speeds to be lower. In CAM, the CPU consistently showed a high frequency around 4.4 GHz even at idle. After installing AMD Ryzen Master, idle temps dropped to about 30°C with a much slower clock speed. I attached a screenshot of the three applications for reference. Which source should you rely on for temperatures and real-time clock data? Thanks, everyone! Have a great weekend! Update: Running Cinebench R20 multiple times showed max CPU temps around 64°C. With PBO enabled in BIOS, scores were 4667 vs 4907 when PBO was off—max temp reached 69°C. I’m not sure if these results are reliable since I haven’t used Cinebench before.

Which application should you rely on? I haven’t used the system extensively, but after about 30 minutes of Modern Warfare, HWMonitor reported the maximum temperature reaching 65°C.

To assess your situation, run Cinebench R20 multiple times and observe the peak temperatures. Between 30°C and 60°C, the differences for the CPU aren't noticeable; what really counts are the maximum load temperatures. If they're sufficient, other factors should follow suit.

Using Zen Master always works best. I don’t mind idle temperatures on Zen 2—just keep an eye on high/max loads. If temps spike, a -0.05v tweak helps. A few systems handle it fine even with -0.1v, though that might cut boost speeds. Your rig sounds solid! Total cost wasn’t specified, but it’s a solid investment.

The processor comes pre-installed. I only adjusted the RAM settings to XMP.

The NZXT Cam isn't great, similar to their case thermal issues. Ryzen struggles with most temperature sensors, particularly on the latest 3000 models. Install Ryzen Master to track temperatures, enable gaming mode, or perform some optimization for better performance.
