I just finished a build and used a Samsung 980 Pro in the M.2 slot nearest to the CPU, though I’m not entirely sure. I own a Seagate FireCuda 530 in my PS5. I want to upgrade to a 2TB NVMe drive and use the 1TB one on my PC. My MSI has five M.2 slots; I mostly use most if not all of them, though I might lose one if necessary.
Question 1: Which slot should I pick for the second NVMe drive on my MSI Z690 Carbon M.2?
Question 2: Since the Seagate 530 already has a heatsink, can I still install it on the motherboard and skip the built-in ones?
Question 3: To ensure both NVMe drives are placed correctly while I restart the PC, which slots should they be in for best performance?
