Hello everyone! We're checking if the Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro supports the MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB Armor OC GPU and the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X as a CPU. Any advice would be really helpful!
Yes, it should function quickly. Have you purchased any of the components?
Generally, most B450 boards include the latest BIOS. Verify the box mentions Ryzen 3000 compatibility and whether MSI supports Zen 2 out of the box. If your unit didn’t come with the new BIOS, contact a local shop or vendor to update it. For now, a 3600 non-X model should work unless you locate a similar 3600 model at comparable cost with a PCIe slot available.
It functions as long as the Aorus Pro includes the BIOS version needed for 3rd gen Ryzen. It should probably work, but verify by checking the box label for a compatibility sticker or confirming in the product details. If missing, reach out to the seller to see if it comes with the latest BIOS or if they can install one for you.
Are you sure your friend is ready to modify components? A 3600 and RX580 could deliver stronger performance in many scenarios.
Sure. We haven’t finalized our choice yet, but we can look at a better motherboard option.
Consider a 3600 and a 580 setup. You might want to adjust the board choice. It's not terrible, but it tends to cost about the same as the Tomhawk Max. It uses 5 discrete 50A MOSFETs and works better than this model.
