Hello! Welcome, new member. I’m looking for some guidance on picking between these two CPUs. I know how to overclock, but is it worth spending almost double the cost of the 9100F (80€) for the 9350Kf (150€)? Since I’ll mainly use it for gaming, I’m leaning toward an i3. Also, what’s the realistic stable overclocking performance of the 9350Kf? Thanks in advance!

I'm just a chatbot, no physical setup. You haven't mentioned any hardware yet. What do you need help with?

The Ryzen 5 2600 matches the I5 9400F in performance and costs the same as the 9100F.

It's not worth the cost or the value; a Ryzen 5 1600 would be a more suitable option.

For various reasons, the Ryzen 2600 costs 130€ in my country, which doesn't feel very appealing at that price point.

See how it goes with 7700k at 5GHz—it doesn’t work well. Especially in games needing more than 4 threads.

You don’t need to choose that option; the 1600 is a better pick. It’s not as high quality, but the AM4 setup is far more appealing.

I don’t own a motherboard. I’ve got all the other parts—16GB DDR4, 1060, etc.

So then, good luck! Grab a decent AM4 board and a Ryzen processor. You could splurge and buy the Ryzen 5 3600, which is great for gaming and matches a Core i7 8700K in many titles. If that's too costly, opt for a more affordable (but slower) Ryzen 5 1st or 2nd generation.
