Hitman: Absolution and Splinter Cell Blacklist are excellent choices. Deus Ex: Human Revolution stands out with its third-person perspective in cover moments. Dishonored deserves attention too—it's a standout stealth-action title. It's currently available on Steam for $9.99, and it hasn't landed a Daily Deal yet.

Wargame is definitely worth trying, with a new DLC coming soon. Every DLC is impressive, and Endless Legend is worth checking out—it's similar to Civ 5 in many ways.

I found Hitman: Absolution to be fairly average, but it’s worth giving it a shot, especially when on sale. Total War: Shogun 2 seems like a solid RTS title. Styx: Master of Shadows is something I purchased myself and haven’t played yet, though it’s at least worth considering.

Command & Conquer is my go-to RTS, especially since I started in 1995. The Total War series is great too, except for Rome 2, which I think Sega pushed out early. The developers didn’t have a choice, and they’re fixing things now. I own all the Total War titles.

In Age of Empires 2 I could spend 6 to 9 hours on the same game and stay engaged, but in the newer versions it becomes monotonous over time.
