On my present line, I have 12 up and 1 down. Upgrading to fiber optic could bring speeds to about 26-36 Mbps and 5-7 Mbps. It might make a noticeable difference. Considering the extra cost of around £10, it could be worth it.

You can check your expected download rate by visiting bt.com or similar sites. For example, my connection is around 69-71 Mbps download and 16 Mbps upload with PlusNet, while BT gives the same numbers but with improved upload performance. They usually state a minimum speed, but often deliver faster in real life.

It depends on your priorities. Are you experiencing buffering while streaming several feeds? Do you frequently download or upload content and seek efficiency? Or are you simply looking for a quicker experience? It’s definitely worth considering at this cost.
