CPU_voltage can assess these voltages and determine if they are appropriate. CPU-z displays 1.337, which is acceptable, while the ASUS intelligent processor 5 shows 1.4v +25. The system appears stable overall. Even though the software increased the frequency to 4500mhz, causing a near failure risk before it stabilized at 4400mhz with a 29% improvement, I'm concerned about pushing the CPU to its limits. I'm worried about burning out the component since 1.4v is at the maximum safe level.
That's quite a high voltage. I generally suggest up to 1.4V for the smaller 14nm chips, but I'd feel more at ease recommending 1.35V for the bigger ones (like yours). My current reading is 1.423? Or is it 1.337 according to cpu-z? Also, there haven't been any problems with benchmarks, and the system appears stable under stress tests.
I think the 1.423 number is correct.
It sometimes goes down to around 1.335, but that doesn't really help :S
Have you tried the ASUS ROG Intel processor 5? Do you know how to adjust it to 4.3GHz or even 4.2GHz?
scuzzycard :
I have a very similar motherboard, but I've never use auto-overclocking. There's too much risk of the motherboard choosing a voltage for my CPU that I wouldn't like. Never send a machine to do a human's job
seems fine now, I changed 1 to manual and the other I fucked up and reset it and then reset my comp and now I get a voltage of 1.341v to 1.335v
it must of been a bug or something
