Hello everyone, I built my intel machine and the cpu would overheat above 4.5 mhz. After changing the thermal paste and reinstalling the cooler, the issue still persists. My case features a fractal design focus G with two corsair 140mm AF fans front and one corsair 120mm AF fan back. The cpu stays hot at any speed over 4.5mhz. I’m unsure what’s causing it—maybe the silicon lottery didn’t go my way, the cooler is faulty, or perhaps I should swap the fans to SP. Here are my specs: asus tuf gaming plus z390 motherboard, Cooler Master MWE 750 Gold Full Modular, 80+ Gold PSU, Samsung 970 EVO SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe, Toshiba X300 5TB Performance Desktop and Gaming Hard Drive 7200 RPM 128MB Cache, 2 8gbs corsair vengeance 3200 ram, nvidia dual 2080 oc gpu and i7 9700k cpu. Can anyone assist me with this?

At what workload? Ambient temps ? What cpu voltage? I would suggest dropping that down. And why is your chache ratio faster than your core ratio?

You're starting out with overclocking! For most CPUs, a good starting point is around 1.8 to 2.0V for the CPU voltage, depending on your model. The cache voltage is usually similar but slightly lower, often around 1.3 to 1.4V. Keep testing and adjusting based on stability and performance.
